Oxford Bleu Pour Femme Eau de Parfum

★★★★★4.8· thousands of reviews

Oxford Bleu Pour Femme is our answer to the modern woman who demands sophistication without sacrificing warmth. We designed this eau de parfum around a luminous citrus opening that gives way to delicate florals and settles into creamy sandalwood and amber.

The scent wears close to the skin yet projects effortlessly in meetings, dinners, or evening events. We bottle it in our signature geometric flacon with midnight blue accents, a design inspired by English tailoring traditions reimagined for contemporary fragrance collectors.

Fragrance Architecture & Dry-Down

We built English Laundry Oxford Bleu Femme on a three-act structure that evolves throughout the day. The opening 15 minutes deliver bright citrus—bergamot paired with mandarin—cut by the green snap of blackcurrant leaf. This phase reads sharp and clean, perfect for morning wear.

The heart emerges around the 30-minute mark as jasmine sambac and rose absolute warm the citrus foundation. We added violet to soften the florals and prevent powdery sweetness. By hour two, sandalwood and amber anchor the composition while vanilla and white musk round the edges. The dry-down stays close but distinct, a second-skin warmth that lingers through dinner.

Bottle Design & Presentation

Our Oxford Bleu Pour Femme flacon takes cues from English tailoring—sharp angles meet soft curves in a geometric silhouette. We chose midnight blue lacquer for the cap and frosted glass for the body to echo the fragrance’s balance of boldness and subtlety.

The atomizer delivers a fine mist that settles evenly on pulse points without over-saturating. We package each bottle in a midnight blue box with embossed branding, sized for gifting or travel. The 100 mL format offers around 800-1000 sprays depending on application pressure.

Layering & Complementary Scents

Oxford Bleu Pour Femme layers beautifully with unscented body oils or our own matching lotion if you prefer amplified longevity. For cooler months, try pairing it with a cashmere or wool scarf—the fabric holds the base notes and creates a subtle scent trail.

Many of our customers who wear Oxford Bleu Femme during the day rotate to the men’s Oxford Bleu cologne in the evening for a shared-wardrobe approach; the two share bergamot and sandalwood DNA but diverge in floral versus spice directions. We also see frequent pairings with Notting Hill Femme, which skews fruitier and works as a weekend contrast to Oxford Bleu’s polished weekday character.

Perfect balance of fresh and warm
I’ve worn this daily for three months and still get compliments. The citrus opening is bright without being sharp, and the sandalwood dry-down stays soft all afternoon. It’s polished enough for client meetings but warm enough for date nights.

Longevity surprised me
I sprayed it at 7 a.m. and still caught whiffs at dinner. The jasmine doesn’t overpower like some florals do on my skin. I appreciate that it doesn’t scream ‘perfume’—it just smells expensive and clean.

Gorgeous bottle, sophisticated scent
The midnight blue cap looks stunning on my vanity. The fragrance itself is more refined than I expected—subtle florals with a creamy finish. I wish the mandarin lasted a bit longer, but the base notes make up for it.

My new signature scent
I’ve been searching for a fragrance that works year-round, and this is it. The bergamot keeps it fresh in summer, while the amber and vanilla add warmth in winter. It layers beautifully with my unscented lotion too.

Compliments every single day
People ask me what I’m wearing constantly. It’s feminine without being sweet or powdery. The violet note gives it something unique that I haven’t found in other department store fragrances.

Great for office wear
I needed something professional that wouldn’t overwhelm my coworkers, and Oxford Bleu Femme fits perfectly. The projection is noticeable but not aggressive. My only critique is I go through bottles quickly because I wear it daily.

Good to know

Oxford Bleu Pour Femme Questions

Both share bergamot and sandalwood as core notes, but Oxford Bleu Pour Femme emphasizes jasmine, rose, and violet in the heart, creating a floral-woody profile. The men’s version replaces those florals with cardamom, black pepper, and vetiver for a spicier, earthier character. Many customers wear both interchangeably depending on mood or occasion.

The concentration also differs—Femme is an eau de parfum with higher fragrance oil content, while the men’s is typically offered as eau de toilette, making Femme longer-lasting on skin.

We designed this fragrance to transition seamlessly from office to evening. The citrus-floral opening works well in professional settings without overwhelming close quarters, while the amber and sandalwood base adds warmth for dinners or events.

It performs year-round but shines especially in spring and autumn when the floral notes feel seasonally appropriate. Many customers reserve heavier orientals for winter and switch to Oxford Bleu Femme for milder months.

Two to three sprays typically suffice for all-day wear. We recommend one spray on each wrist and one at the base of your throat. If you want extended longevity, add a fourth spray to the inside of your elbows or a scarf.

Over-application can muddle the citrus top notes and make the jasmine cloying. Start light—you can always reapply mid-day if needed, but removing excess fragrance is impossible once applied.

Skin pH, diet, and hormones all influence how fragrance develops. On warmer, oilier skin, the sandalwood and amber base may emerge faster and project more strongly. On cooler, drier skin, the citrus and florals may last longer before the dry-down begins.

We offer samples for this reason—test it over 8-10 hours to see how the full evolution works with your chemistry. If jasmine or rose turn soapy on you, try spraying on clothing instead of skin.

A 100 mL bottle contains approximately 800-1000 sprays depending on atomizer pressure. If you use three sprays daily, expect 9-11 months of wear. Light users who spray twice per application and wear fragrance 3-4 times weekly can stretch a bottle to 18 months.

Proper storage extends shelf life. Keep the bottle away from heat and light, and always replace the cap immediately after use to prevent oxidation.

Yes—Oxford Bleu Femme layers well with unscented lotions and oils. Apply lotion first to hydrate skin, then spray fragrance on top. Hydrated skin holds scent longer than dry skin.

For fragrance layering, pair it with citrus or woody scents that share bergamot or sandalwood notes. Avoid combining it with heavy gourmands or musks, which can clash with the jasmine and violet heart. Some customers layer it with our Oxford Bleu body lotion for amplified projection.

It functions as both. The bright citrus opening and jasmine heart make it office-appropriate and fresh enough for daytime meetings. As the fragrance dries down into sandalwood and amber, it gains warmth suitable for dinners, cocktails, or evening events.

If you prefer lighter scents during the day, apply one spray in the morning. For evening wear, reapply or add an extra spray to intensify the base notes.
